Sonia Florent Marcellesi and Nettle are chosen as co-spokespersons. At the sixth meeting held in Madrid Hondarribia in September 2010 decided to introduce to the local and regional elections of 2011 under a common umbrella to be known Ecolo. Alongside a group of people from various environmental NGOs, cooperation, unionism and institutional policy decide to start a process for creating a party that represents the Political Ecology and Social Equity. 
The project begins to come to light in the summer of 2010, and several drivers involved in II Green Summer University organized by the Coordinadora Verde. Soon adopted the name of EQUO , is presented in society and creating a wave of sympathy that goes far beyond what had hitherto been the Greens. Equo Foundation is legalized and creates its Board and its Advisory Board. on photo Juantxo Monica Frassoni and Lopez de Uralde in the Second Green University Summer in Navarra. What about the elections? Equo not presented at local and regional elections. He is currently a Foundation. The truth is that we present. Immediately following will open a constituent process in which all the organizations that form the network Equo and individuals and groups who want it. The party led by Equo be submitted to the 2012 general elections. 
The old green disband us in the new green tide leading environmentalists as Juantxo Lopez de Uralde, former director of Greenpeace Spain , Alejandro Sanchez, former director of SEO Bird Life , or Santiago Martín Barajas of Ecologists in Action, along with union Joaquín Nieto, the regional exmember by IU or Cecilia Montiel Reyes Carballo, from the NGOs for cooperation and development IPADE. The whole process has the support and active participation European Green Party, represented on the Board of Trustees by President Monica Frassoni as well as the Iniciativa per Catalunya Verds and Green Coordinator represented by Ernest Urtasun and Nacho Gonzalez respectively.
