And rightly so; the provision of permanent electrical power 24 hours a day, the possibility of enjoying the same advantages of those connected to the national electricity grid, in addition to supplying single-phase and three-phase current, is a dreamlike solution for those unable to join the national electricity network for geographical reasons.
It is equally startling to take part in a demonstration of the remarkable RAMPP/MURA features: Its electrical start up and automatic stops of a 3 HP two-stroke motor propelling a 2 kva self-exited squirrel cage induction alternator are rare and unusual. The practical demo is hard to believe: It is truly astonishing to watch a tiny engine of a 70 cc cylinder capacity propelling a three-phased submergible pump extract over 20.000 liters of water per hour. Wind mill generator
There are three major conditions that need to be met in order to replenish the RAMPP/MURA battery charge by means of a wind mill generator. First and almost needless to mention, it is necessary to install the device in a gusty winds area. Secondly, the generated tension must be single-phased or three-phased 220 volts (most small dimensions wind mill generators of a helix diameter up to 2.5 mts. only generate 12 or 24 Vcc). Lastly, the wind mill generator must be furnished with a charge regulator that will interrupt the process once the battery is fully recharged.
It is also important to point out that although the operation expenses of the wind mill generator will not be high since the fuel (the wind) is obtained for free, the initial investment for this equipment will be considerable.
Mini-Hydraulic Turbine
Naturally, an abundant waterfall such as those common in mountainous areas is essential for the use of this method. In order to consider the use of a mini-hydraulic turbine, it is necessary to multiply the waterfall height in meters by the water caudal expressed in liters per second. For this system to be applicable, the product must be a number above 80.
Although the initial investment for this system is considerable, its fuel is obtained freely from nature and, as opposed to wind power, hydraulic power is constant and does not present natural intermittences. The flow of water can be expected to remain consistent for most part of the year, resulting in an energy exploitation factor much higher than the use of wind power, which rarely surpasses 30%.

Self-excited alternator
This is by far the most effective and impressive addition to any RAMMP. The driving engine of 50/70 cc two strokes is highly efficient and similar to the motor used by a scooter. The alternator is a basic self-excited three phased squirrel cage motor, without brushes, collectors, slip-rings or complicated maintenance pieces. Furnished with an electrical start up mechanism, its operation stops automatically once the batteries are fully replenished. This unique feature gives the system unparalleled safety and convenience properties, key to the batteries protection and the fuel consumption. The cost of this alternator amount only to 25% of the cost of a similar capacity small power plant, weights a total of 23 kgs. And allows the usage of up to a three-phased engine of 3HP autonomously, without any aid from the batteries. By properly combining the use of the manual accelerator, the control ammeter and the automatic stop, it is possible to operate, for example, a submergible pump without constant supervision. It is important to note that both the alternator and the power source are mobile, as opposed to other methods such as the wind mill generator, the micro turbine or the power grid.
The estimated gas consumption amounts to 400 cc per Kw hour generated.
Public Grid
When it is intended to use the RAMMP as a back up emergency system in case of blackouts, or for short periods of time such as weekends, or as a temporary power supply to perform maintenance work on the land, it is possible to replenish the batteries by using the public 220 volts national grid. It is also possible to use the RAMMP as a UPS (Uninterrupted power system) to provide for mainframes or any other service that has no tolerance for a blackout.
Swell Power alternator
Navigation fans have yet another source of renewable energy at their disposal: the energy of the waves. Unlike wind power, the waves power does not hinder the embarkation movement, therefore not subtracting energy of any kind from the actual embarkation movement. The only condition remains, as of water and wind power, the generation source must be 220 volts or a transformer will be necessary.
As a footnote for those suggesting the use of photovoltaic cells as an energy alternative, although technically possible, we do not find them acceptable due to economic reasons. To be able to supply 200.000 liters of water daily as the RAMMP (MURA) 2300 does, solar screens would require 240 times as many an investment that a RAMMP (MURA) would.
